“Personal Information“ is any information that can identify you. This may include, but is not limited to, username, date of birth (for age compliance reasons), email address, IP address (Internet Protocol address) and device information (browsing agent etc).
In order for you to create an account with Splace and use our Services, we need to collect and process some Personal Information. Depending on your use of the Services, these may include the following (all of which may be analysed and aggregated to help us to make improvements:
Your name, username, email address, date of birth, and password - this is used to create your Splace account and provide you with our Services. We can then identify you across Services - when you sign in, create a Post, upload media etc. We can then also provide you with technical services and to send you notifications and updates.
Your location - this is used to serve you appropriate geo-location content (including but not limited to Posts and Chat) when using our mobile application and site. We can also determine the timestamp, geo-location, place-mark, locality and other metadata from your media, when you post an image, video, comment, audio clip (or otherwise) to a Post.
Except for your email address and date of birth, some or part of your Personal Information may be disclosed on your Profile page. Further, Personal Information may be shown in the public domain when you post, or comment, where your name and/or username will also be visible, along with the (precise or approx) geo-location of any media you post - which is either derived from the metadata of the uploaded media, or determined by other means. If you do not wish to disclose your Personal Information to the public you must stop using the Services. Please note that Splace is not responsible for the information you volunteer about yourself.
Our Services are designed to help you share information with the Splace community. Any personal information that you voluntarily choose to include in a publicly accessible area of the Service will be available to anyone who has access to that content (including other Splace users), such as your username, the posts that you create, your location, as well as the messages and media that you post, whether on your profile, in our Spaces or to other users, the people you follow, and many other bits of information that result from your use of the Services. We may use this information to make inferences, like what content you may be interested in, to develop new products and services for the Splace community, and to customize the content we show you, including Ads.
